...some research/spell check/grammer check would be good here. Yes many in the EMS community joke it as such but its ALZHEIMERS patients. That was almost as good as the news article I saw where CAP searches for Civil War Planes. What is journalism coming to these days.

The Maine's Communications Trailer (they travelled over 6 hours to get here) was fantastic to see as well as utilize to support the competition. The craftmanship exhibited in installing the radios, antenna, & power supply selection sources, was clearly evident, and Maine wing's members should be proud of their comm staff!
Fortunately the weather cooperated on Saturday but some aircraft did leave later on Saturday due to forcasted Sunday severe weather potential south/southwest of Massachusetts.
As far as the IC being interviewed on that piece initially referenced, it's difficult when you are live with the camera running. All of the news media had access to a media kit which gave a lot of background information on the organization. What is, is and we should be happy to get all the positive press we can, which at least in the Springfield MA area is dominated usually by killings, drug arrests, & vehicle accidents!

In retrospect, it's too bad the coverage didn't include showing some cadet/senior ground teams with DF equipment & 24 hour packs with radios communicating. I think that the PA wing team would have been especially good in this regard with the orange Tshirts, etc. as well as radio comms (that had two cadets also operating the radios) Perhaps there was time constraints on the TV networks, and it is GREAT to get the coverage!
