Hi,
I would like help and recomendations on a good 3 season, 1-2 man lightweight backpacking/bivy tent for under $100. I have looked into several and they are really expensive. This http://www.trailtents.com/site/1412894/page/45029 (http://www.trailtents.com/site/1412894/page/45029) is the only place that I have seen so far that has what I need and they don't have the best prices I have also looked at http://www.junglehammock.com/ (http://www.junglehammock.com/) as one alternative and like the idea but they are expensive and would only work in half my state as the other half is desert. What I would REALLY like is a hammock that could be used as a stand-alone tent, but I don't know if anyone makes those. Thanks ahead of time for your help.
Here (http://captalk.net/index.php?topic=4771.0) is another discussion on tents that may help.

Click on the word "here" (http://captalk.net/index.php?topic=4771.0). It's a hyper link. Got your glasses on Dave?
Yup, even got the right ones for the 'puter? There's only a very subtle color difference on my monitor. That's why I underline links, too.
Thank you for the link, but I saw that when I was still a lurker and now I figured I would be murdered if I revived a year old thread. It doesen't quite have what I was looking for. Thanks anyways.

Nah! If it's relavent, I'd actually
like to see the old thread resurrected. That way all of our collective wisdom on tents/backpacks/whatever is in one place. It's the people who drag up a 3-year-old thread to add "Yeah, that's cool." that are obnoxious. ;)
As for the tent, I'd love to hear some additional recommendations/reviews too.
Hehe, I'm still looking for one of those North Face 4-season 5-man ECWCS tents that slips thru Ebay cheap occasionally...
