Finish taking the IS 700 a. course... Ready to take the test, and the site dies.  :(

Been there, brother. Could be worse. I had it die while submitting a test form, once.

Ditto.  They're doing reconstruction of the site, as I understand it; I was going to take IS 800 last night and couldn't access the testing side of fema.gov
Title: FYI - FEMA training site down
Post by: rjfoxx on April 22, 2009, 01:00:08 AM
The FEMA online training site:  http://training.fema.gov  went down yesterday.  I was told by FEMA that the site would be back up by the end of the day.  As of 1900 today it is still down.  Just keep checking for its return.

Now I probably should go through all the lessons again before I take the test for IS 700 a.

Do what I do: before hitting submit on your answer sheet, make use of the "Print Screen" button and make a jpg copy of your answers.  Then if the site fails you can refill your answers from the jpg.

The FEMA online training site is down again; getting "can not connect" error message

It's up again; my husband just successfully completed the 700 test and got his certificate lickety-split. This morning I saw a message that the site would be down from 1300-1500 EDT for scheduled maintenance, which is probably why rjfoxx couldn't connect earlier.

You're right, that is exactly when I was trying to get into the site.  I was on line just now and completed my '700' and '800' courses

Got my IS800 done, now all I have left is 400.  But considering how close IS300 put me to blowing my brains out, I think I'll take a few years off before trying that class.

IS400 is actually a little more enjoyable.  Could be because you have the major pieces already and get to play with - or it could be because it is shorter.  Get it done as soon as you can so you don't need to relearn anything - and it will not be hanging over your head...  I had to take it twice last year.   >:(
