Title: Color Guards uncovered???????
Post by: flyguy06 on April 16, 2009, 05:33:39 AM
I was browsing different wign websites and I saw cadet Color Guards. We definantly need to have some sort or standardization training. I saw Color Guards doing gtheir thing with no headgear. on. Is this common practice in CAP? I was always under the impression that when you are under arms (carrying weapons) or carrying the Colors you are to have your headgear on wheather it be indoors or outdoors> Thats the way I have always seen Color Guards.

Yes, covered while carrying the colors is correct.

When in the Air Force, I would see most of them covered indoors while performing, but uncovered upon completion of ceremony. Is that what the photos you're looking at protray? Or are they performing uncovered?

I guess either way needs some kind of standardization.

I believe it is technically standardized per CAPM 52-4. People actually following the standardization is another thing though.

Like NHGA, CAPP 52-8, D&C and CAPP 151 "C&C manual"?
