Is there anyone here who is presently a member of the Misawa Cadet Squadron?
Don't know about current members, but Lordmonar (if he's here-he's active over on CS) is a past commander of that unit.
Don't think so. I was commander back in '89.

would you happen to have the email address and password for this site? and the password for the email address site?
I hope you realize that the post you quoted, and asked for info about, is well over three years olde. It is almost a certainty that there is currently no one in your unit that was there three years ago.
...but it never hurts to ask ... on something like that, for if someone comes through with the information, it's a lot easier than having to go through hoops and hurdles to do password recovery that may not even be possible. However, if the email address that is on file for it is being read still.. maybe they might take a password reset email as a hint that someone is active and trying to re-use the stuff, rather than make a new one and have potentially bad information discoverable as well.

this is why you keep passwords in a sealed envelop in a safe/other secure area with "DO NOT OPEN UNLESS NEW COMMANDER OR NEW ITO."

Not me - I have no connection to Misawa beyond finding that on Google. looks like it has not been updated for 4 years.

I didn't even realize myspace still existed.
You may be able to send an email to myspace corporate explaining that there is a new commander and access has been lost to thge site. They might be able to reset the password for you, or just remove the page totally if that's what you want. I've done this with several rouge/obsolete facebook pages in my wing and it was surprisingly easy.
That page was after my time....sorry can't help.
My suggestion is to give up on that page, and move on to a fresher social medium. That one's pretty well run its course.
It may have, but if at all possible, it's nice to get rid of outdated information from online, even if that My[_] page becomes a redirector. Better than olde information, to use your word.
Don't knock ones self out, but if it's as simple as someone might have the user access and wants to be nice.. ;-) Never hurts to ask.
It may be possible for the new unit commander to contact myspace and get that account closed.

Awesome thanks for the info. ill try it out.
Indeed. I once found a super old "Angelfire" website for our squadron. I emailed the support desk with the URL for the site and referenced CAPR 110-1 (found a copy on a .gov domain to make the reference seem more official) and asked that they delete the site which had clearly been dormant for several years because it was no longer an official/approved CAP internet operation. They obliged and removed the old account without a fuss.
