This may sound like an obvious question but I really have no idea so I thought I would ask.
I am interested in furthering my ES quals. I want to be an AOBD and Planning Sec Chief and eventually a IC.
We only have so many SAREx'sin my Wing, It would take years to get to the IC level.
Question: Can I go to other Wings and get signed off?
I have transferred wings many times due to my job, and have found no troubles with one state accepting another's qualifications. I know personally of some exceptions (contact me privately on that) but generally there is a good attitude.
If you want good and concentrated training, may I suggest NESA? You'll find good quality training there, and I believe a good number of your wing-mates attend (i.e., easy to bum a ride!)

Yeah, if you want to get there in anything less than 5 years, NESA is probably your best bet if you're in a wing without much action.
I would make sure both your squadron commander and wing ES guy know what you are doing and why.
Also you need to check with you wing and region to make sure there are no extra reporting procedures.....RMR requires regional approval for anyone leaving the region and wing approval for crossing state boundries. NVWG is in the process of doing the same.
While I don't think anyone would have a problem make sure you cross your T's and dot your I's.

We saw them at graduation.

Agreed, the ICS school is a fine program.
Fairbanks, Alaska today was officially warmer than Northern Minnesota. We're getting 10-15 minutes more daylight PER DAY and are now up to about 10.5 hours. (Shortest day is something like 4 hours). It was 28 above by my thermometer; sunny and blue sky. How's that for a PIREP?

It's supposed to take years. So many people rush to get the next level of qualification they don't spend any time becoming proficient or experienced in the qualifications they already have. I will tell you, as a ground pounder it's nice to have mission support people who have BTDT and not just for a couple of sorties.
So, don't sell yourself short. It should take years to become an IC because what you're doing is becoming an expert in aeronautical search and rescue.

That depends on your Wing, but there shouldn't be a problem. I know we've sent a few TN ground teams across the line to GA to train, and had a few of the north GA teams come play with us before.
And you'd always be welcome at any exercise I'm working ;D
I definately recommend doing NESA for anyone that wants it. I was there for two weeks last year and loved every minute of it. You won't get better instructors any where. I know two of the people on the ground side literaly wrote the book for our ground side. The instructors at MAS are top notch... and a lot of fun too.
