Are you allowed to wear your hair in a pony tail while in PT uniform?
I believe the same hair standards apply in PT unifor as in all uniforms.
What PT uniform?
Since we do not have a CAP PT uniform we have not rules for grooming standards.
If your squadron has a PT uniform then you need to check with your squadron to see what their policies are.

Oh please. Just keep the hair out of the way. In our SF battalion, we had an E-9 who would give NCOs a hard time if they had on white socks with a colored stripe. Don't detract from PT with baloney. It's not the parade field, it's supposed to be hot, sweaty, and messy. If a cadet has grass stains on their PT gear, is it the same as a ketchup stain on a blue shirt? Concentrate on the mission (in PT, the steak is more important than the sizzle).
You'll never see me wearing my hair in a ponytail with a PT uniform. ;D
As for the female members, I can't see that it would make a difference how they wear it, as long as it doesn't interfer with performance of PT.
The general rule at my unit for females in PT gear is as long as it is out of the way, it's good.
Seriously, the fact that they are showing up for (and participating in) PT is good enough for me...
I am not a female, so I would no nothing about the standards for a female. I was just throwing that out there.

Why not? You should know the standards for all personnel, regardless of gender.
Looking on gocivilairpatrol.com on the National Drill Competition, I see all females with hair tied back and loose for PT. Since there is no maindated "PT Uniform" accoprding to 39-1, PT clothing and hair styles are left up to a Squadron. So pigtailes should be OK

Most of us don't. Some wish they had the hair to have such a problem with. >:D
