Title: First Responder Course
Post by: RiverAux on February 05, 2009, 03:46:26 AM
Does anyone happen to know if the 2001 edition of the Red Cross's Emergency Response book is still the most current edition of the text used in the 40 hour First Responder course?

There's multiple FR books in use, it all depends on where you're taking the course at as to what text they're using.

In what State, County, Command, District, Department, Academy, or School are you asking about?

I can't believe that they would authorize the teaching of courses using books that are out of date, especially in an area like this.  I suppose what I'm asking is there a more current edition of this particular textbook out there?

Check with the ARC. They may know the answer.

I tried their web site, but couldn't really find anything.  Our local chapters don't even teach it anymore (the last one may have been the one I got my book from).

I don't think they teach the First Reponder Course any more.
