I have a unit that does not have appropriate markings on the front so I am unclear as to what freq's I can df.
I have 2 units to compare. One when opened has nearly nothing on the right side at all. My assumption is that the right side is reserved for the second tuner for 243, and subsequently this unit does not have that capability.
ON the other unit both sides are full and nearly a reverse image of eachother. I have 2 crystals that say 68.72500 and the other 66.60000 MHZ respecively. I am not sure what that translates to any help there would be awesome.
Also, what is the general consensus on paying for the battery meter upgrade?
Thanks all.
And yes I have asked and ltronics will accept repair work now, they will also do upgrades (started back 1-Oct-08)
According to the formulae here (http://www.ltronics.com/lhmanual.pdf), page 23, yours is set up for 122.5 MHz, and 126.75 MHz.
That's quite odd isn't it?
Very. Are you sure those are the freqs on the xtals?
Yep, and after some investigation is appears that I have both tuners, which would put my crystals in the 243 range. I'm not sure why I have 2 of them, but now I know I don't need an update to this one.
What is the serial number? Which side are the xtals on? The 121.5 side is on the left, and the 243.0 side is on the right. There is generally only one xtal on the right side for CAP use. The freqs you gave don't convert to 243.0 either.
121.5 -> 66.1
121.775 -> 66.2375
243.0 -> 63.425
