Title: Vector or Line Art of CAP Pilot wings, badges, etc?
Post by: SilverEagle2 on December 02, 2008, 11:02:54 PM
Does anyone out there have any good vector or line art representations of our wings specifically?

I would like to get all 3 ratings if someone has made them.

Willing to sign over some of my CAP compensation package to aquire!  ;D Thanks

What is a vector or line art representation?

Not just a picture, but an .eps or .ai file that represents the curves, letters, etc as a vector rather than a group of pixels.

When you resize a .jpg or .bmp what happens? It distorts and fuzzies the image.

With a vector image you can go as big or small as you want as the image is a compilation of vectors or lines mathematically derived. Image looks just as good small, med, or large.

That's it in a nutshell. A google search may glean a better answer.

In fact, if you take a picture to a sign shop, they more than likely create a close approximation as a vector drawing so they can get you the cleanest, crispest representation.

Pretty cool stuff actually. Hope that helps.
