Post by: Capt Ford on November 14, 2008, 09:39:37 PM
Can anyone tell me were I can find the "Request for Promotional Action" sheet for flight officer, I know that the one off of the CAP national website, under forms and pubs, is only ment for request to make the rank of 2nd LT. and above, and do to I'm 18 and of course can't make 2nd LT. quite yet, I'm looking to make FO. any suggestions  ???.

Thanks,

You can find it here (http://level2.cap.gov/documents/u_090403102245.dot)

However, before you go putting paperwork together you should probably ask your Professional Development Officer, Personnel, Deputy Commander for Seniors, or Commander about their promotion procedures.  It is a good possibility that they have simply forgotten that you are eligible for promotion.

Also, promotions to FO, TFO and SFO do not go thru NHQ.  They don't keep track of them.  It's up to the local unit to keep track.  As far as NHQ is concerned, members in FO grades are just listed as SM.  You won't get a new membership card for each promotion.
