Here's to all those on duty today, overseas and at home, manning their posts in AFVs, hummers,planes, patrol cars, firetrucks and ambulances, ships and on foot in places most fear going. Thanks to you, we continue to have that which we celebrate today.

Happy Birthday, United States of America. I echo the thanks for those currently serving our great country, be they military or civilian. My heart felt thanks and appreciation for all those who volunteer for this great country. At all of these national holidays, I have a particularly important thought for me: some gave all, all gave some.

Our SQDN marched in the big parade today. Got a great response (it didn't hurt that we were behind the ARNG), handed out a few hundred recruiting flyers.

Well, I did get called back into work on a trouble call, scored 4 hours of double time/half yesterday and another 3 hours today.

Iced down the right heel (Achilles tendinitis) while cleaning guns and watched Red Dawn twice.
