Title: Tennessee folks?
Post by: Maj Ballard on May 06, 2008, 06:24:04 PM
I'm moving to middle TN (from FLWG) in a couple of weeks. Not really interested in getting involved in a local squadron for a LONG time, but I'm just wondering if there are any CAPTalk people from around there. Anyone?

I'm 2.5 hrs from Nashville.  Sorry to hear you're not transferring to a squadron there.

Forgot to mention, I'm very familiar with Paducah. I grew up in Sikeston, MO, so we were through Paducah a lot for shopping and such.

Good ole Sikeston. Home of Lamberts Cafe - the only restaurant worth driving a few hours out of Memphis for....

Welcome to Tennessee!

I think there's a squadron in the Boro now.  When I joined CAP years and years ago, I was in the Tullahoma squadron (45 min S of Murfreesboro). There are also 2-3 really active squadrons in the nashville area.

One of the biggest in the state is at M'boro. Smyrna also has a unit, and there's a few others around Nashville that are very active. Tullahoma is actually very active and thriving as well.
