The beacon wouldn't be any more than a foot or two under water, and I'd quietly stow a life jacket in the vehicle for the lucky coastie-to-be (I don't intend to have any drownings, that quarry's seen enough of them).
How are you going to get out to it? You guys have pontoons on your aircraft? ;)
