Title: Auto Update Clocks
Post by: SSgt Rudin on April 06, 2008, 06:39:37 AM
Today was the day under the old daylight savings time system when we would advance our clocks ahead one hour. Make sure you check your clocks and verify that they did not auto update incorrectly (my alarm clock already did  :-\ ) You may want to check your GPS units if they were manufactured prior to the change.

I just checked my old school Magellan GPS 315. It was receiving  satellites 02, 04 and 17 with a strong signal. The date was correct, but the time was 10:45 pm. I'm in Florida, so it looks like I need to find the intruction manual

You might also check the time displayed by CAPTalk. I just adjusted mine because this morning it was an hour off.

My computer clock syncs up with the government time servers, so no worries there. And I'm guessing my phone pulls info from the GPS satellites since it's one of the post-9/11 GPS/E-911 cellphones.
