Title: borders on cloth insignia
Post by: jpnelson82 on April 04, 2008, 06:00:29 PM
Back when I was a Cadet Major I remember there being rules about no more than xxx in. of blue around insignia. Doesn't appear to be in the 39-1 now. Did this rule get scrapped? if not what is the current rule?

If not in the text somewhere, its definitely in the diagrams, though there is a thread here that shows the graphics and they are incomplete.

One thing is for sure, when they aren't right, you can see it a mile away, especially on the larger grades like C/Capt.

While you are thinking about spacing and such.  Also remember that when you go to sew them on you need to measure your 1" from collar to insignia from the white part of the insignia not the blue
