Does anyone have a link to a quick reference pocket guide?

I don't have a CAP specific pocket guide, but here's a collection of things that I've used to learn the GX-55 with SARMAP capabilities:

http://www.raywoo.com/GX55references.zip (http://www.raywoo.com/GX55references.zip)

Included are the Garmin manual and quick reference, two CAP specific documents talking about the SAR functions, and most usefully (in my opinion) the GX-55 with SARMAP simulator program.  Note that every time you start up the simulator it defaults to the Seattle sectional for SAR gridding.

Major Scott Sinks in the Mn CAP put this together.  It is great!

Nice layout, prints out in half page format for putting in a aircrew checklist, and it still has print large enough to read without a magnifying glass.

Check out this WA Wing link:  http://wawg.cap.gov/members/training/Aircrew%20Training/Checklists/checklist.html

Once this opens up, click on the GPS checklists.  Then select the specific GPS Checklist you want (GX55, GX60, basic and advanced) then download the file.  They are designed to be cut and fit into the flightcrew checklist books.

If the link won't open let me know and I can email them to you direct. these checklists have been used with great success in WA Wing are a part of the student packets for our Wing Aircrew Schools.

Hope this helps.
