They start out suing the National Guard for their lack of response during a flood, get thrown in jail for contempt, and while in jail decide to join. At the recruiter they are told they are both too old, so they go on a quest to find a way to serve.
At first I was disappointed that they didn't mention CAP, but when I say Denny Crane and Alan Shore on the terrace in their >rented< full dress CG whites (pending their background checks), I think its just as well we were left out of it. ;D
Denny comments on the growth of certain things when his persona is combined with a uniform, and wonders whether the CG will give him a tank.

to the preview, which is funny by itself, and is followed by the Brad Paisley video that nails a lot of us (its good). I'll see if I can dig a screen shot of the dynamic duo in their get ups.
...I think I need to start watching Boston Legal!!!!!!!!!!
Too bad... it was on during Weaponology.
Ok, when I first read the post, I thought you were talking about a real event. This is a TV show. Youmade a post about a TV show?
Well, I can relate. I was in Iraq in the National Guard watching the events of Katrina unfold on TV. I was in Bosnia when 9/11 happened. I thought it was funny how I, a National uardsman was in Iraq and the 82nd Airborne Division, an active duty unit was in Louisiana. Roles revered if you ask me. ;D
Please, please tell me that you're kidding about them joining the CG Auxiliary on the show? Did they actually use the name of the organization or was it kind of implied?
Unfortunately I missed the episode and ABC doesn't have full episodes online.
Back in reality land.........

Nope, full on, with even a tiny bit of detail on the requirements. Alan was sitting on a couch with a laptop and proclaimed "here it is! The US Coast Guard Auxiliary, and no age requirements!" Then he and Denny darted out the door and the next time you saw them was sitting on their terrace in their whites.
I'm amazed I can't find a screenshot as it was a classic image.
I think I might have seen a commercial that featured that shot in it last week, but never made the connection.....
It's all here

Gold side has discontinued the working blues and most of the undress uniforms and replaced 'em with the ODU... The Aux tends toward "until no longer serviceable." A lesson to CAP perhaps?
All I've got is so far is Tropical Blue Long with garrison cap, windbreaker, and the pullover I already had from CAP. If anyone has a 17/35 winter blue shirt... I'm interested. UDC is out.
