Title: Help recruit this recent retiree--- get this guy to join....
Post by: Capt Rivera on November 30, 2007, 05:28:24 PM
this blog came accross my good news monitor...

http://martykasindorf.typepad.com/marty_kasindorf_reporting/2007/11/volunteers-need.html

it mentions a retired person looking to share his time... He mentions CAP by name a long with some others...

Feel free to comment his blog and encourage him to join and make him feel all warm & cozy... just say hi from a future CAP family member etc....

Well, it appears that step one is covered (which is often the most difficult step). He has an interest in aviation, a general idea of what CAP is about, and he's planning on attending a meeting. Now it's up to the members of that squadron to do their thing. Hopefully, CAP will have another good dedicated member soon.

hopefully... 1st impressions/interactions are extremely important. Was just looking to give him a great one to keep the the positive & prominent in his mind until he goes to the meeting... Also if the squadron does not make the best 1st impression for whatever the reason, we might not necessarily loose him because of it due to our effort? No not bad mouthing the squadron, I know nothing about it... Just trying to do for them what I would want someone doing for my squadron and CAP as a whole...

I recruit Nationally  :)

Dear Lt. Rivera: Thanks for your comment, which also helpfully linked to the CAP national headquarters website. I'm looking forward to offering a lot and to getting a lot out of volunteering with CAP. Thanks for your public service. -- Marty ~~~

I saw that some others commented to his blog... Thanks!
