Special Note:
I have been honored these past few years to bring Final Salute to CAPtalk. This will be the first obituary I enter that I personally knew and worked with a CAP member. Lt. Col. Hawthorn was the kindest and most professional CAP officer I met in my early years in CAP. I am saddened to see him here but grateful for the time he spent with me and his guidance I have used still today. My final salute to you Sir!
