Title: ELTs in Predator unmanned vehicles
Post by: SARPilotNY on July 22, 2007, 05:13:54 AM
A member from California said CAWG had found an ELT in a Predator unmanned vehicle last week.  Anyone have any details where it was located and if it had crashed?   I never heard they put ELTs on them before.

I would think that the Government would want to know where it's Predators were at, should they go down, as they contain highly classified computer systems/software/hardware.  If it was a prototype, I think the contractor would want to know WHY it went down, as to prevent it from happening again.

It was located at the factory that builds them.
