Title: Inspection question: Are SUIs the same for each command level?
Post by: Holding Pattern on August 23, 2016, 02:36:39 AM
Do groups and wings have the same set of SUI docs that they need to fill out, or do they get a different set based on their level?

Groups are inspected with the same SUI checklist as squadrons and flights.
The inspection is regarding the charter and its members, not the performance
of its subordinate units, so there is usually a fair number of "NA".

Wings have "CIs" "Compliance Inspections" with a wholly different set of checklists.
The also have "SAVs" which are "Staff Assistance Visits".  The SAVs are where the USAF and
inspectors are supposed to see how things are going and provide guidance and advice to wings.

I don't suppose there is an active list of which sections are N/A?

It's subjective.

For example, few Groups would have cadets assigned, so those pages would not apply, same goes
for Transport if they don't have any vehicles, ditto for comms if the group has no radios.
