Title: Jumping The Gun
Post by: KelleyF on November 10, 2015, 05:38:40 AM
Finally got accepted into CAP. I love the atmosphere around it. That's besides the point, is it bad that I did the Leadership Test and passed on the first day?

Haha, no, not at all. I took and passed it like my 2nd week in :) it's a good thing you're so enthusiastic about CAP! Keep up that attitude and you're on your way to Spaatz!

Hi Kelley, welcome to CAP! As Caponly said, the enthusiasm is great! I wouldn't rush and take a whole bunch of tests at once, as you won't be able to retain all of the knowledge, but testing as soon as you are eligible, and testing an achievement ahead are just fine!

My only issue with taking the leadership test the first day is that there is a lot of ground covered in both the manual and in your basic cadet training. One builds on the other, and taking and passing the test without seeing first-hand what it's about can cause a false sense of security.
