I just take them to the cleaners and say medium starch.

In the washer. Then I put them in the dryer.... then I press them out, then I put them on a hangar.  Then I wink at myself in the mirror before I shut out the light.

This is a great approach!

Always turn the inside out.

Are you washing winter or summer weight BDUs?  For summer weight I like to take them out of the dryer while they are still damp and put them on a hanger to finish drying.  This just helps reduce wrinkles.  For winter weight, I just let them dry in the dryer.

There is not need to do anything super special with them in terms of washing.    You can take them to the cleaners if you want but it doesn't really make a difference.

There are probably thousands of opinions on how to wash BDUs.

For me:
-Pretreat any stains, if applicable
-Turn them inside out
-Wash as per care tag
-Dry as per care tag to damp
-Iron them while still damp
-Hang dry to finish

*No starch
*No sharp creases
*No anything extra because they are a field uniform

After washing, use a press cloth for ironing to avoid shiny uniform, etc.

Wash and dry them using the Permanent Press settings on the washer and dryer. As per the tag on the coat and trousers.

I realize the sarcasm, but:
If you attend a 2 hour meeting once or twice a month in them..no, but if you do any ES then absolutely. I hardly ever wash mine...
