Title: Customs & Courtesies Lesson
Post by: ctcrowe on October 22, 2015, 03:42:26 PM

I am working on a customs and courtesies lesson plan for the cadets in our squadron. Are there any pre-made lessons out there that I can customize?

Just use CAPP151 as a slide show: http://www.capmembers.com/media/cms/Respect_on_Display_2009__Reduced_2A46F4ACF35F8.pdf (http://www.capmembers.com/media/cms/Respect_on_Display_2009__Reduced_2A46F4ACF35F8.pdf)

Since being revamped...it's short, to the point, and has pretty pictures.

Here's one (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzp3QaozO5t5LU50M0dmbzNMQlU/view?usp=sharing) that our cadet staff created a few months ago.

Something that worked for us, since we are close to several major colleges with ROTC programs, is having the AFROTC dets work with our cadets and teaching them proper D&C and C&C. It helps that the Wing King at Georgia Tech is a former cadet of ours and was very receptive of the idea. Our cadets went in thinking they knew a lot and learned more than they imagined. Even the cadet officers were put in the flight and drilled. I wasn't there, but I heard it was an amazing and transforming experience.

Give it a try, see what they say if you have an AFROTC det nearby.
