Title: SMPFT
Post by: KatCAP on October 21, 2015, 08:06:04 AM
My guess, if this happened we would loose 80% of our Senior Members would die doing a SMPFT

http://auxnewsnow.com/2015/08/excerpt-of-csafs-welcome-to-the-total-force-speech-leaked/

ORLANDO, Fla. — Aux News Now has obtained portions of a draft copy of Air Force Chief of Staff General Mark Welsh's speech welcoming Civil Air Patrol to the Air Force Total Force team.

Senior members and cadets of the Civil Air Patrol, it is my privilege and honor to welcome you to the United States Air Force Total Force team, and to bestow upon each of you the title of "Airman." As we move forward as closer, stronger partners, I know I can count on the Air Force Auxiliary to maintain its high standards and professionalism as it continues to serve our great nation in the 21st century.
In the past, CAP members I've talked to have told me that they sometimes feel overlooked by the Air Force, or as one member told me, "...like neglected, gray-epauletted stepchildren." For that, I offer our sincere apologies, and a promise that change is coming. After consulting with the Civil Air Patrol Board of Governors, National Commander, and CAP-USAF Commander, I am pleased to announce a series of reforms that will cement a new relationship between the Air Force and its Auxiliary.
One of the chief complaints received by CAP-USAF is the policy restricting wear of the Air Force-style uniform to members who fall within a certain weight range. This kind of divisive regulation has no place in a Total Force structure. Consequently, over the next two years, CAP will implement a new physical fitness program and test for its adult members, the SMPFT. This program will be based on current USAF physical fitness standards, and will ensure a healthier, stronger force, in which every member can proudly wear Air Force blue.
Secondly, I'm pleased to announce that Civil Air Patrol members will transition to the Airman Battle Uniform later this year. I know this particular issue has been discussed at great length for some time now, and I believe this switch is long-overdue. Gone are the days of unit patches, organizational hats, ascots, whistles, pistol belts and berets, and welcome to an era of uniform uniformity.
More changes are in the works, and I know I can count on each and every one of you to follow these new policies and guidelines with the dignity and professionalism befitting Total Force Airmen. Welcome to the Air Force team.
It is unknown when this speech is intended for delivery, or if the final version will contain any additional announcements.

It never ceases to amaze me how often people repost stories from satiracal sites like the Duffleblog and AuxNews without checking the veracity. I had a CAP PAO repost an AuxNews story not to long ago. lol

Well I guess this addresses those 611,000 fatal heart disease cases :)

If only we could be so lucky.

The picture of the Cadet colonel (obvious Photoshop) is from Stargate SG-1, I believe.  As I recall, her character was an AFA cadet that was being groomed for the SG program.

"Last I knew, we're planning to present Cadet Rabbit with a Cadet Recruiter Ribbon with 715 clasps."
