Title: pre-cadet membership
Post by: Flying Pig on April 29, 2007, 12:40:37 AM
I have a son who is 9 years old.  I was told that CAP may have recently started some type of program for "pre-cadets"?  Is there any truth to this or is it rumor?

I hadnt heard ANYTHING about this type of program.

There is something like that coming out of PAWG... It's a spin off of the CAP School Program.  There was an article in the Volunteer not too long ago.

^^  It is currently only in the schools in Philadelphia.  IT is going to be a "feeder" into the Middle School and CAP private school that is due to open next year.

It really could turn out to be a great program!  The Philadelphia schools that have the CAP program are reporting a drop in gangs and violence.  It is scheduled to be showcased on CNN in a few months.

Anyway....as for the Pre-Cadet program......it all depends on your Wing Commander.  They can easily start similar programs up.

Pretty much, though this aims to feed into the CAP middle school program.
I was in the BSA but before Tiger's ...shows how old I am.  :(
