Why do most names on the top of threads apear blue, but there are several that have yellow or red?
Users in yellow/gold indicate a special status, such as VIP or "Resident Philosopher".
Users appearing in a different blue/teal are moderators.
Red is for administrators.
Suspended users appear in a reddish brown.

It might have been sarcasm, but in Syracuse, the bottom light
can be the red one. We frequently get problems with color blind people not from the area... Luckily, it's the only place in the world with green light on top, so you're generally safe. ;)

(No, it's not photoshopped. On Tipp Hill in Syracuse, the green light really is on top. It's an Irish neighborhood.)

The way I get around in my car is if the shade of the light is dark... it is red. If the shade of the signal is light... then it is green. Otherwise I do alot of praying.

It is easier to tell them apart at night. It is the most difficult when the sun is rising or setting.
