It seems our new AE guy is trying to educate us or something... :clap: he noted we have very few people in our squadron with said award. I personally didn't even know it existed until he mentioned it. Then I found the book on eservices and oy why did they break up the book into a million PDFs?
The good news is that downloading all the parts and stitching them into one PDF didn't take long. And insomnia means I've already gone through chapter 9. I should be test ready by next meeting, but this made me curious... what other elective awards are there that I'm missing that I can accomplish through a dint of study?
I've got IS100,200,700,800,GES, and ICUT on my 101 card, and I've got Level 1 done. I'm in the process of building my automation tool for my IT task (a raspberry pi with a camera to read barcodes for our meeting check-ins that will send out a report by email at the end of the meeting.) I've been in for 17 months as a senior member now.
What should I be knocking out studywise after the Yeager?
Might I suggest focusing that zeal towards Cadet Programs, you will enjoy it.
Our unit has 20/24 SMs with the award. The 4 new members should have it within a few months. IIRC, there's a wing mandate to plan for 100% completion rate.
If you're interested in Cadet Programs, lots to learn there. Finishing up my 12th year, former cadet, still learning.

That is unfortunate. In my wing, we have 50.1% that have accomplished the Yeager. No telling active/non-active members. Then again:
Level II: 40.7%
Level III: 24.0%
Level IV: 12.0%
Level V: 3.6%
It is probably one of the easiest awards to accomplish. When I was a SQ/CC, all senior members had the Yeager accomplished within 3 months of accomplishing Level I.
Honestly, I don't know what I find more unfortunate - the low number of members who have the AEPSM,
or the high esteem it's held in by the box-checkers. Granted, like safety it's a handy short-hand to see
who's paying attention.
For anyone who knows the "Five Forces", or who Chuck Yeager actually is, it shouldn't take more then about 15 - 30 minutes to
blast it out cold.

Check out the LMS and see if there are online tests/courses for your specialty track. I know IT, Comm, CP, Pers, Log, and Fin all have them. These usually fulfill the Knowledge requirements for each level.
The tests, at least in CP do not fulfill those requirements. You actually need to answer/write up all the questions in specialty guide.

+1 - the online tests are required, but separate from the pamphlet requirements. Be aware there might be some timing
requirements on some of them (not supposed to take "x" before attaining "y") I can't put my finger on a specific example
but seem to recall this issue at some point.
In that case, just retake the one you need.

An example is the CP tests for Tech/Senior/Master. You can take them all right away, but you're *supposed to* do them as you actually attain the levels.

I've been supporting our Cyberpatriot team for 2 competitions now. I'm not slacking on cadet programs in lieu of online training. It is simply that when I have spare online time, I can be (not in order):
1. Studying Microsoft Virtual Academy
2. Studying some other aspect of CAP
3. Studying my 70-461,462,463 documents for my MCSA
4. Studying the giant six sigma book for my yellow belt
5. Playing Counter-Strike
6. Complaining about something on captalk :)
(the short point I'm making: I'm not ribbon hunting or checkbox grinding, I have free time outside of CAP to dedicate towards personal development and I intend to use it for such.)
Sounds like a full plate of certs.
I'm studying for those MCSA tests as well, though I plan on subbing 463 for 483.
I'm also planning on going for 410 and 411, letting 462 take care of 412.
The good news is I don't actually need the certs, I'm just tired of running into poorly constructed databases, programs, and processes.
Focusing on "freely" accessible databases to tinker with like CAPWATCH, VRDB, WISQARS, and of course the immortal training databases of adventureworks and northwind keep me on my toes.
My long term goal is to rebuild sims into something significantly more awesome and open architecture.
Just to go on how easy the Yeager is, I literally just took it, within a half hour..and not actually doing more studying than the general knowledge I already had. I passed with a 90%..

I have an issue with the
100% thing. Really a Squadron needs 100% Yeager completion rate? What I am hinting at is that SQ "A" is 100%, SQ "B" is 100% and now SQ "C" is compelled to be 100% even if it is the uber ranger Squadron in the Wing. So all those Squadrons with 100% compliance have robust AE programs? Not accusing anybody past, present or future, just saying. 8)

Your SQ gets a handsome plaque to hang on the "Brag Wall". When I moved and had to go to the Petticoat Junction Squadron. The SQ/CC (noob to CAP) had gone to a Commanders Call and came back and asked about "AEX". Well needless to say no one at Petticoat Junction ever heard about it. I hate being the new guy / know-it-all but it is a great program for Composite and Cadet Squadrons and it is fun too. I explained it and the majority decided to stick with 100% on the Yeager and vote down the AEX. ::)
I think we've received AEX award every year since at least 2011. Our AEO is awesome.

Indeed. He was nominated to region for the Brewer Award.
I discovered a Yeager award recently. It was over ten years old, belonged to a different CAP member, and it was behind mine in the frame; I had taken mine out to clean the frame! I kind of remember that guy complaining that he never got his and leaving CAP shortly after that.
