We have almost completed another year of CAP, CAPTalk and all sorts of other stuff. I will be spending the New Year with my oldest son while he is on leave (USMC CH53 Training), and youngest. My wife and I will be ringing in the new year as we have always done. Watching movies and sharing sparkling grape juice with Killian and some homemade wine with PFC Shaw,
I look forward to the challenge of next year at work and in CAP. Spending more time with my family and less time on other stuff.
CAP and CAPTalk have been very engaging, challenging, and interesting and sobering at times.
I will enjoy my squadron work and why I am there.
I will try to be a benefit to the group.
Happy New Year CAPTalk folks it has been a pleasure.
^^And to you and yours as well.
I shall be sitting in front of the telly with my dear wife and our cat, watching the ball drop (though it will never quite be the same without Dick Clark), being thankful for another year of sobriety on my part (with sparkling grape juice in two flavours), and thankful for another year that my dear wife has continued recovery from cancer.
I shall be struggling in the upcoming year to strike a balance between how to take care of my family issues, my own health issues, CAP and other things important to me. I have not done a good job of that in the past.
One thing I shall be doing less of is posting on CT. I have done a good job of making some enemies, especially on the issue of uniforms and promotions, so I will be doing a lot more "lurking" and a lot less posting.

CAP Talk is just an online board. I'm certain you haven't made any "enemies" here (why would you?), even if many disagree with some of your opinions. My advice, don't take things too personal, especially in CAP Talk. It's not worth it and I guarantee that no one else is "losing sleep" over a thread or post here. Enjoy the good things you have going on for you and move away from those that bother you. Happy New Year!
+1 - Lordmonor and a few others and I go at it like old men on the front porch, but I'd still want
him at any mission base or large activity I was at.
For 2015, I intend to continue to yell at the wall, who knows, maybe the wall will get tired of
hearing it and change a little.

+1 we are all here for the same thing. To talk about and maybe even help CAP get better. Its all good.
For 2015. We need to keep looking for way to improve CAP. We need to ways to expand our customer base, and develop training that fills the needs of those customers.
That's one of the things I appreciate about this forum. In spite of the banter, the sometimes heated rhetoric...there is a free exchange of ideas and observations. As Lord Monor stated, "we are all here for the same thing. To talk about and maybe even help CAP get better. It's all good." Thanks for the personal and professional camaraderie.
Happy New Year my CAPTalk friends.
Happy New Year my CAP friends
Didn't we just do this last year?
