Title: Uniform wear on Halloween
Post by: Paper Machete on October 23, 2014, 03:19:15 AM
I heard you can wear your uniform on holidays but on one condition. You strip yourself of all medals, ribbons, name tags, and anything representing CAP.  Is this true?

If it's stripped of all medals, ribbons, name tags, and anything representing CAP, is it still the uniform? That's a better question. So again, what do you think?

"I heard" .. read CAPM 39-1. "Wear of the uniform" is some of the content within.

Though I have two words that you can start your whole original statement with, "I've never ".

Now, do you really want to be a cadet one additional day this month?

The uniform is not a costume.

However, if you want to "look the part," there are cheap flying suits available designed as costumes so you can look like Steve Ritchie for one night.

I heard that you asked a similar question already. Want to get a rise out of people? Keep asking the same question....

Here's what you should do:  Talk to your Squadron Commander.  Tell him/her what you "heard."  Ask him/her if that's true and what you should do.

Then, do it.
