Title: Heated exchange between ATL ATC & a DAL pilot
Post by: ChrisMOlmstead on August 02, 2014, 05:27:28 AM
For those who didn't see, anyone can get a kick out of this... apparently someone didn't get their morning coffee last week (25 July). Last Friday in Atlanta, the pilot of a Delta MD88 (DAL2422) was given taxi instructions to runway 27R for departure and was supposed to taxi via M but instead turned onto L. When the ground controller kindly brought up the mistake, hell broke loose. Kudos to the ground controller for keeping his cool. I cracked up at "Captain Happy." ;D

Take a listen to the recording from LiveATC: Pilot to ATC : "I don't like your attitude" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQNAi8HBDY0)

That dude seemed pretty stressed out not sure he's in the proper frame of mind to be making safe aviation decisions.
