Post by: Garibaldi on July 17, 2014, 08:50:31 PM
No, this isn't Fifi...The story behind this B-29 and its restoration is amazing, and it is set to take to the skies again in October.

Long story short: Doc was rescued, along with a few other B-29 airframes, with the hope of full restoration to airworthiness, from its life as a target at China Lake. Restored in the city it was born in, with the help of one of the original Rosie the Riveters who worked on it in 1944.
