Title: Air Force Trademark Protection
Post by: Garp on March 22, 2014, 11:56:44 AM
In case you thought the "Vanguard is our authorized vendor" issue was unique to CAP, here is the way the Air Force handles the same issue:  http://www.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/223/Article/474986/air-force-trademark-and-licensing-supports-mwr-efforts-worldwide.aspx (http://www.af.mil/News/ArticleDisplay/tabid/223/Article/474986/air-force-trademark-and-licensing-supports-mwr-efforts-worldwide.aspx) Same argument...protection results in money back to the organization.

However, the AF does not put all its eggs in one basket.  CAP does.

The polo shirts are bad, real bad.  Collars roll up, fabric is cheap and synthetic. Wings and names are acceptable.  Bought a quality cotton polo, had the patch sewn on and gagged up the bucks for the wings and name to be embroidered.
