Title: Encampment Jodie Help
Post by: talldude on March 21, 2013, 09:52:20 PM
I am going to be staffing an Encampment this year as a Flight Sergeant.
I have written a few jodies but I think this one can be pretty awesome with a little help.

I can't think of enough words.. And I dont want to have "killing me" at the end of all of the phrases.   ???  It will have a * where I need help.
Feel free to suggest changes on what I already have too.

Flight Sergeant Flight Sergeant cant you see,
All this marching is killing me

Flight Commander Flight Commander can't you see,
Always being in first place i-s to easy

First Sergeant First Sergeant can't you see,
All this PT *

XO XO can't you see,
All these inspections are *

Squadron Com-mander can't you see,
*

Cadet Comman-der can't you see,
*

Do a search for "jodie", and you'll find all sorts of good stuff.

Thanks, I have a lot of jodies already. The main reason I put this on here though, is so "people" could help me complete the one that I have posted.  ;D

WIWAD, we used tv theme songs like The Flintstones, Gilligan's Island, etc, in a challange/response method, in basic.

Up in the mornin' before the beak of day;
I don't like it, no way.
Eat my breakfast too darn soon;
Hungry as heck-again, by noon.

Went to the mess sergeant on my knees;
cow killer cow killer feed me please.
Mess sergeant said with a big ole grin;
If you wanna be ground team you gotta be thin.

That's okay if that's how it goes;
I'll just go call Dominos.

When my grandma was 91,
she did PT just for fun.

When my grandma was 92,
she did PT better than you.

When my grandma was 93,
she did PT better than me.

When my grandma was 94,
she did PT even more.

When my grandma was 95,
she did PT to feel alive.

When my grandma was 96,
she did PT just for kicks.

When my grandma was 97,
she did PT up in Heaven.

When my grandma was 98,
she did PT at the pearly gates.

Saw an old lady walking down the street;
She had a ruck on her back and jungle boots on her feet.

I said hey lady where you going to;
She said "Haaawwwk Mountain Ranger School"

I said old lady now ain't you been told;
Hawk Mountain's for the brave and the bold.

Talldude-

Sometimes the Jodies you are told are suggestions and you can modify some parts of it.

Take Stonewall's. I have copied and eliminated some of the things that can be substituted. Sometimes the substitution works, sometimes it does not. In this case, what you could substitute is the name of your state for Hawk.

Saw an old lady walking down the street;
She had a ruck on her back and jungle boots on her feet.

I said hey lady where you going to;
She said Haaawwwk Mountain Ranger School" [substitute your state] Summer 'caaampmnt."

I said old lady now ain't you been told;
Hawk Mountain's [substitute your state] Summer 'caaampmnt's for the brave and the bold.
