The Health Services specialty track seems to be a wide open field. What have you done for your squadrons or wings? Can you direct me to anyone who I may contact to find out more? I am brand new and will be asking all of my local commanders as well, however, more input from abroad would be very much appreciated.
Thank you :)

Health Services isn't just for physicians.

THE HSO Track exists in name only. There is no curriculum or structured evaluation. CAPR 160-1 was last updated
in 2002, and the most recent comment on its revision was April 2011, when 160-2 was released, with an indication
that 160-1 would be coming "soon".
As of today, there are no staff duties or other tasks authorized for medical professionals which require medical
training outside of general First Aid, CPR & BBP, or that could not be performed by any member, medical professional
or not.

"An UNappreciated field of endeavor, sir."
When I was a Commander I had Medical Officers on Staff and the Unit's Personnel Authorization. But you should have another hat or job in your Unit like Supply Officer, Cadet Program Officer, Admin Officer or whatever suits your fancy.
Welcome aboard
