I just received word that Three Civil Air Patrol members were killed in a plane crash yesterday on non Civil Air Patrol Business. I'm very sorry to hear of the loss of these fellow dedicated servants. Fair winds and Following seas.

The members were:
Col John Tilton, MSWG Director of Safety, former BoG member, National Safety Officer, & Army Helo Pilot
Lt Col David Williams, MSWG Director of Stan/Eval, former F101 pilot
Capt W.C. Young, fairly new member of MS-100 & CFII.
Farewell brothers.
God speed.
My thoughts and prayers go out to their families, friends and Mississippi Wing.
A very sad day indeed. Col. Tilton was also a former SER/CC.
In a message from SER/CC, Col. Al Bedgood, he states that "While they were not in a CAP aircraft, or on a CAP mission, they were enroute to attend a CAP activity."
Faux Noise reports they were on the way to an FAA Safety conference and mentions nothing about their CAP service.

Nothing from CNN.
This is just sad, to lose 3 members at one time like this.
