Title: Overseas Cadets post the colors at inauguration of WWII monument
Post by: NHQ-OS-126 Frank on July 09, 2012, 12:16:38 PM
Hello,

About 2 Weeks ago our cadets posted the colors at the inauguration ceremony for a monument dedicated to the 80th Infantry Div. which fought in that area during the battle of the bulge in 1944-45.

At the inauguration were about 20 WWII veterans who attended the ceremony together with their families.

The ceremony was in the little town of Mertzig in Luxembourg about 1 hour away from the US Air Base in Germany.

Unfortunatley many of our cadets are already gone to the states for vacation so we had to train the brand new cadets to do the color guard. For most of them it was their first time doing color guard and they only had about 2 weeks to exercise.

Here is the link to the video:

All the best from Europe.
