:o :o :o
Oh My God!!!
Our squadron was digging out fire hydrants all weekend for the city of Oswego. Guess we made the BBC! :D Thanks for the link!
Wow, we don't ever get snow like that here in Texas!! I almost forgot what snow looked like.
Hey, that N3B parka and your ID on your arm isn't in 39-1!!!! Go give yourself a 2B!
;D

Haha... I
knew somebody would point out that little gem. ;)
Every one of my troops out there, including cadets had an Extreme Cold Weather parka. Sorry, but when you're in a state of emergency and 7ft of snow-type blizzard the M-65 field jacket doesn't cut it for warmth and protection. The N3B parka is a real uniform item, with USAF cert numbers, and in such a situation I'm sure nobody would be complaining that we were protecting ourselves from the nasty elements in the most uniform way possible.
So there. ;D

Yeah, great picture, but I wanted to ask... who's that guy carrying you around. >:D
In the third pic...CAP Command Post !!!!! Are you sure it's not the outhouse ;D :D
Hey, Mike...send some of that stuff this way! :D

More lake effect is already coming down tonight pretty quick n' heavy -- as if we need any more! >:(
But believe me. If I could send any of it your way, you'd already be outside shoveling (mostly because you just *had* to go and post that on CS) ;) ;D
I should be getting some here around midnight... Anyone want to place bets to see if my squadron meeting is canceled tomorrow?

You found senior members to be there on Valentine's Day? :o I canceled our meeting weeks ago when I saw that Wednesday and St. Valentine's coincided. We've all got plans... 8)
It wasn't my idea.
Edit: Looks like its started snowing already.

I say, who is this bloke? I guess the NEW ID, as much criticism as it has gotten, is an International STAR!!! On three...1....2....3... Pile on Pylon!!!
But if you notice there are TWO pylons!
Heavens to mergatroid!
2 of him!

Oh yeah...I missed that, it must be his twin brother, Cone. ;D
Hey, what a perfect picture to use for the meeting cancellation announcement on my squadron's web site! http://syracusecap.org/
It's especially apt, considering Mike created our squadron's site.
Meeting's cancelled, go home.

I'm not really getting snow here. I'm getting these tiny little bits of ice. I'm not sure what to call it. All of my weather sources are calling it snow though.
I'll copy a METAR from a nearby airport and translate the good stuff.

Light snow, temperature -4C, and dewpoint -7C. That should do it.
Only a measly 12 F here w/ 18" snow, winds calm, more snow tonight and tomorrow,
btw, in the pic, there are three pylons, one holding two.
