HGA is an NCSA. Local participation doesn't affect selection negatively.

Soo... You're saying that you're on your squadron's honor guard, right? If so, then yes. You have every option to attend the NHGA. Even if your squadron doesn't have an honor guard(Like mine), you could still attend, as 2 cadets have already.

If you're talking about staffing NHGA, well, you just answered your own question...

And yes. Spelling doesn't hurt when applying to NHGA.

Only cadets who have passed all three years of the HG program may be asked to come back and serve as an assistant staff member.  Staff positions are held by Senior Members.

They operate as Instructors. It's "Cadet Staff" for HGA if you will, they supervise/train the flights.

Sorry cadet,  cadets are only assistants as in ASI's.  They are under the SM's supervision: such as Eagle flight(red hat 3rd year) staff member Lt. Col Phares and a black hat cadet who is assigned to her.

After 7 years of going there as support staff, I did pick up a few things.

Is Colonel Phares the SA for Eagle? We just got an email from Captain Rea which made it sound like she was going to be the SA for us this year.

I would go with your email from Capt. Rea, as I have not been involved for the past couple of years.  Enjoy your time there, it is over too fast.
