How and where you post something like that doesn't make it a good idea, for you or the organization.

We had a recent thread from you .. about quitting, and then not... and butting heads.. and .. you had indicated in the midst of all that, your main interest was the Spaatz Award.

If you spent some of this energy focused towards that..

1.When will we see the results of the Governance survey?

The BoG through Lt Col Ned Lee, has already addressed this. The preliminary results are being presented to the Air Staff for their input prior to final publication. I think that the BoG canceled the CV election, may be a harbinger of major changes in the NB/NEC. Most changes should be minimal to the average squadron member or unit.
2.Why does the BoG seem reluctant to share information with the general membership? (I.E. Not streaming NEC meetings)

I am convinced that they try to for all NEC/NB meetings. If a meeting is held at a hotel, they have to use the hotel's band width and share it with the hundreds or thousands of people who are also in the hotel,( and pay a large fee for the priveledge). Leading to loss ofd signal at the worst times. Your Wing Commander  attends the NB meetings and most will publish the items they feel most impact their units as soon as they get back home. The BoG is a different animal. They are appointed as reresentitives of the Air Force, CAP, and outside interests with an interest in the CAP missions. Again LtCol Lee has always given us the details in a timely manner following each meeting.

3.Why doesn't the BoG try to sell advertising? (I.E. Home depot's [any company, they just came to mind first] NESA)

Because advertising makes the site less credible. However the Volunteer magazine does have commercial advertising which goes to every member of CAP.

5.Why does the safety beacon always have things that don't really apply to general CAP membership? Shouldn't the focus be on aircraft safety and things that are relevant to CAP?

In my opinion they cover a wide range of safety issues that affect almost everybody in CAP, not just the flight crews. If you check the Safety website, there is something for everyone.

4.Why aren't the regulations and publications kept up to date?

They are always updating the Regs and Manuals. Some aren't updated because they are working just fine. Others seem to be updated on an annual basis. The Uniform Manual is in limbo. Because of the many things going on and uniform issues are constant. The NB moratorium on uniform issues will end with the upcoming NB meeting, you may see a new manual soon after.

6.You have 9 NHQ IT staffers (according to capmember's "Meet the NHQ Staff" page . What do they do all day?

In the last 10 years, Cadet and Senior on line promotions. Cadet AE and Leadership tests on line. CAP University, online renewals and registrations. NCSA applications automated. Wright, Mitchell, Earhardt, Eaker, and Spaatz awards numbered and recognized the same day. Senior Promotions used to take anywhere from a month to 3 months depending on the grade, and the level of approval required. Renewals 2 weeks, Cadet Awards were only processed during the last week of the month, and than took another week to to reach the Wing HQ for later presentation. These are just a few things that they do on a day to day basis. They also travel to Region and National Conferences. Come to the National Board meeting in August and ask them. Or call the IT office at Maxwell (the number is on the sasme page that you referenced earlier).

7.Why isn't CAP more active on twitter/facebook and other social networks? Shouldn't you continuously talk to your membership?

A quick search will show that CAP is well represented on facebook and twitter. There are even links on the CAP Home page

Let's try and get him to answer some questions. His twitter is @DelRichAnderson.

Let's not!  Your  questions should be addressed to the National Adminstrator or Your Wing Commander.

I think you guys are missing the point of AMAs.

The point is to ask those questions you always wanted to ask, but never could.

Give me a hint, Being in almost senior middle age and not finding any definition other than American Medical Society for AMA what does it stand for?  You complained I responded in my own rebuttal of your statements.
