Post by: Jokeronomy on May 11, 2012, 01:28:58 AM
I've recently been trying my hardest to find information on the Civil Air Patrol Honor Guard Academy. I've heard about it and have seen Youtube videos about it but have never actually seem any legitimate information on it. Ive tried it website without must success on gathering information, all that is listed there is directions and programs. Like, How would you sign up, what are the requirements where is it located, Just some general information on it.

Thanks.

HGA is a National Cadet Special Activity. The application is done via e-services, typically Oct-Dec of the year for the following summer.

It is a NCSA just like HMRS or NBB. It is located in westminster, MD. Fee is 500. It follows the normal application process.

It teaches you the different roles of a CAP cadet honor guardsman. This includes, exhibition drill, funeral element, drama, and something else that escapes me.

Someone else can tell you more about it. I'm going for my first year this summer.
