Post by: AirDX on January 17, 2012, 12:56:19 AM
Hawaii Wing's Captain Clifford R. Waeschle, a member of the Kauai Composite Squadron, was awarded the "Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award".  The presentation took place at the Honolulu FAA Flight Standards District Office.  CAP National Commander (MGen Charles Carr), Pacific Region Commander (Colonel Larry Myrick), and Hawaii Wing Commander (Colonel Roger Caires) attended the award ceremony.

The Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award recognizes pilots who have contributed to building and maintaining the safest aviation system in the world, through practicing and promoting safe flight for a total of 50 years or more.  On a "Roll of Honor", the recipients name, city, state, and certificate number are displayed in a prominent place in the Washington D.C., Federal Aviation Building as well as published on the FAASTeam website for all to access and review.

Since 2003, 2066 pilots have received the "Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award".
