Post by: Cadet Idoni on November 26, 2011, 11:18:08 PM
Are obstacle courses still not allowed in CAP or has it been changed?

There has never been any specific prohibition regarding obstacle courses in CAP.

It's either a wive's tale or something local.

I suspect his question goes to whether its a "high adventure activity". I personally don't where CAP is on this.

An obstacle course is considered a High Adventure Activity (HAA) and as such does require a special approval using a CAPF 54. See CAPR 52-16 para. 2-10.

The restrictions on HAA's was lifted with no change to the existing, recently updated, approval procedures.
