Title: How many Officers/NCOs does your squadron have?
Post by: Extremepredjudice on November 15, 2011, 06:36:28 AM
How many officers does your squadron have? How many NCOs? Too many? Too little? How does it affect your squadron's CoC?

What are some solutions to a top heavy squadron? or a Bottom heavy squadron?

It'd be nice to get feedback from everyone, not just the regulars.    ;D

Oh, and post your squadron's officer/NCO "stats!" (be sure to tell us which one you are! ;))
(Include SM CoC)

He is probably talking about cadets...

If a squadron is top heavy in cadet officers, they must have stopped recruiting cadets.   Changing demographics is why Squadron Commanders (not Cadet Commanders) have wide latitude in how they organize their cadets.

We only had 3 active officers till a year ago. Now we have more:

SM Enlisted - 0
SM Officer - 7

Wing Enlisted - 2 (that I know of)

Cadet Enlisted - 27
Cadet Officer - 3

The challenge is always attendance but we have remained around 70-80 percent on a regular basis for both senior and cadets. I have met many fine SM enlisted and just recently an active duty TSgt departing for Afghanistan. He is from Arizona and also a SM enlisted. He was leaving from McGuire and stopped at our squadron to show us his canine - Dyngo.

I was thinking something like this(it includes SM and cadet, also say which one you are!)(my squadron, FYI):

1 Lt. Col.
2 Capt.
2 1st. Lt.
lots of 2nd. lt.

1 C/Lt. Col.
1 C/Capt.
1 C/1st. Lt.
1 C/SMSgt.
4 C/Tsgt.
2 C/SSgt.
about 20 Airmen...
