Title: Patron Status in eServices?
Post by: dcastor on July 12, 2011, 06:33:25 PM

My predecessor (squadron commander) requested a number of senior members be moved into patron status due to non-participation.  Does anyone know a way in eServices to see if any action to move them to that status is complete?

They should be listed as PATRON on the Member Searcjh page.

CAPWATCH should have the status of all members of your unit, cadet, senior, ae, patron, sponsor, etc.

I haven't used CAPWATCH before...I see an option to download CAPWATCH text files and I was able to do that, but it gives me a zip file with a lot of files.  Each of these is a comma seperated document that is very difficult to read.  Should I be using some other "CAPWATCH"?

Member Search page seems more helpful, if it does actually change from "senior" to "patron" when appropriate.  Right now, I've got no one showing as patron, so I can't confirm.

It is possible that they were transferred to your Wing -000 squadron when they became patrons,  see if anyone is missing from the roster.

The fourth column in Member Search is Membership Type.  Cadets type is "Cadet", most Senior Members are "Senior" and the Patrons are "Patron".  the 50 year members might have something different.

Nope...the folks I'm trying to dump are still showing on our member search page.

Patron members stay on your roster and you must retain their records.
Their status as a patron will show under the "Type" column in either the whole-unit display, or in the initial screen of their record.

If it doesn't say "PATRON" there, they ain't.

I mis-spoke...the people I'm trying to get into patron status are not active and are a black mark on the squadron when it comes to SUI.  We were advised to put them in patron status so they won't count against us for things like monthly safety status.

Submit a CAPF2a to NHQ/CAP IAW CAPR 39-2 Para 3-1B

Camas: The 2a was previously submitted, my question (which was answered very well by Eclipse) was how can I see  when National has completed the process of moving them to patron status.  I can confirm they are now showing as "patrons" in the listing Eclipse referenced.
