I have tried to use the link for the GES on line training but get a "Certificate Error". Can anyone help me with this? Thanks.
If you are trying to take the test when this happens, look here: https://missions.cap.af.mil/certificates.cfm
I can't get to that site. I keep getting a certificate error.
Click continue and ignore the error. If your browser won't let you, lower your security settings or use a better browser.

I thought you were going to say a "real" browser.
Firefox no like DoD certificates.

I believe that was
implied...I've installed the military root certificates a couple of times, they work until I clear a cache, scratch the machine, or whatever.
In this context the certificates are meaningless, just like those on the WMU which haven't worked in like, well ever.
Since you're not doing eCommerce or putting in your SSN, just click and move on. FireFox will let you even create a permanent
exception and then you'll never see the error again.
Hm, well when I used to use a Windows based PC I had root certificate troubles all the time. I've been using a MacBook Pro for some years now and I've only once had that issue, and it was a year or two ago.
Maybe you should use a Mac anyway. Considerably better setup!

Kind of... I am a senior production advisor with NBC Universal. Most of the guys I see doing the VX work are using Macs. Not all... but most.
I've experienced a reduced stress level using a MAC. Once you go MAC you never go back.
Oh gosh, not this argument again, on a CAP forum no less!

A great reminder of the one time I ever regretted not using a smiley. ::)
Back on topic...
I agree with the suggestion to "ignore and continue" when the certificate error comes up -- I get that message sometimes (but not always - go figure), ignore it, and everything works just fine.
