This is probably a stupid question, but I'm at a loss. I am an 18+ cadet who has done the CPPT training, but my squadron commander is not sure how he is supposed to record that it has been completed. He thought the whole deal was done online, until I showed him otherwise...

We used a CAPF11 and checked the "Cadet Protection Only" box for our last cadet that needed it. Fax it to NHQ and you're good to go.
CAPF 11 to NHQ.
I'd suggest sending a scanned copy by e-mail.
The page that has the forms has the e-mail to send to.
Have your PDO fill out the Word version of the Form 11 found on-line and email it to NHQ, no signatures required.
It's probably a good thing that the commander doesn't know the process – sounds like he's letting the PDO do his job!

Yeah, we're a Cadet Squadron with less than a handful of SMs. I'm the first person in the SQ to have to take CPPT training in a long time.
Thanks for the help.
I'll attach the CAPF 11 and in the body of the message duplicate the info - Just In Case (tm)
Example:
CPPT Only
