It is with sadness that I inform the CAP membership of the passing of Chaplain (Lt Col) Robert Van Sickler of the South Coast Composite Squadron in Brookings OR. He passed away on 18 Feb 2011. Bob had been a member for ten years and had served on ORWG staff along with time in both Klamath Falls and South Coast Composite Squadrons. He was an asset to CAP and will be missed.
His service and memory will be honored during a memorial service that will be conducted at the 2011 Chaplain Corps Region Staff College (14-17 March). I had the wonderful privilege of meeting Bob and spending time with him during a couple of these events. A great man who will be missed. "Blue Skies and Tail Winds" my friend.
