I found a lightweight Jacket online I've been looking for one for awhile, I wear a 34R but the smallest size I can find is a 38L you think that would be too overly big, 4 inches?
Daniel: unless the jacket is cut small, you will resemble someone wearing a blanket instead of a jacket. Having it tailored would be too expensive and you likely would not like the results.
Have you tried at surplus stores? I know many perceive them as bad places to get dress uniform items, however I would go to my local surplus anytime. I just recently got the jacket you are looking for in a 38R, and found the 36R that they had to be too small, but in like new condition even with the liner in it.
